I Need You, Lord

There is a quiet truth I carry with me: I need God.

Not because I have everything figured out — I don’t. There are still things that confuse me, things I wrestle with, things I place before Him because I don’t know what else to do.

But even without full understanding, I know where to turn.

Life has a way of reminding me that my strength has limits. My plans don’t always unfold the way I expect. My certainty can disappear overnight. And in those moments, I’m reminded that my security was never meant to rest in myself.

It was meant to rest in Him.

Needing God doesn’t make me incapable. It keeps me grounded. It reminds me that I don’t have to manufacture peace or force clarity. I can pause. I can look to Him. I can trust that He is present in ways I cannot always see.

There is something steady about choosing dependence on God — not out of fear, but out of trust.

Not because I am lost, but because I know who leads me.

Today, I acknowledge what has always been true:

Lord, I need You — not just for answers, but for Your presence.

Not just for direction, but for Your nearness.

And that is enough for this moment.

Proverbs 3:5 NIV

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”

Lord,

You see what I carry, even when I don’t have the words to explain it.

Help me remember that I don’t have to rely on myself alone.

Teach me to walk with You in trust, one step at a time.

Today, I turn my heart toward You.
